100th post - Cupcakes

What better way to celebrate my 100th post than to have cupcakes...on cards that is. ;)

Six Square Cards

Square cards are fun - I think. They are the perfect thing for a small, quick note and you won't have a lot of empty space left inside. :)

Various Cards

As you can clearly tell I've been busy lately - making cards.

This would have to be my favorite version of this card. Which may or may not have anything to do with the sparkly rhinestones. :)

I did it again - four takes

I interpreted this card four different ways, too:

A few different takes...

It is interesting to see one vision turn into many. I took the same basic card and changed it slightly to create four cards.

Funky Cards

Here are two cards I made with this really cool paper. It is a thick paper (almost cardstock weight) and has a texture and shimmer to it. I added some metallic silver paper to complement the shimmer.

This is a little accordion album I created as a sample for my kid's papercrafting club. The kids really enjoyed making this album.

Spiral Card - fancy fold

Photobucket

This has to be one of the coolest cards I've ever seen.

Here's a closer view of the spiral - and the little spiral in the center.

This is what the card looks like open:

Cool, huh?

This is my first attempt at this kind of card, so I'm sure there are bound to be many more. :)

My only malfunction is I wonder how hard it would be for someone else to figure out how to open it. Let me ask you - since you're here reading this post - without instructions or seeing this picture, how long do you think it would take you to figure out how to open this card? And - do you think you'd rip it in the process?

Enjoy!

Baby Girl Album

It seems that I know a lot of pregnant women this year. I had two showers two weekends in a row even. :)

This is the album for a girlfriend of mine whom I went to school with. She's having a girl (obviously).

The order of the pages may seem a bit odd, but I was trying to put them in order of how they will happen. Maya is due in early December, so she'll (hopefully) get her first bath before Christmas. ;) Mommy and Daddy will probably snap a picture of her smiling once or twice (from gas, of course) before Christmas, too. Then she'll start moving and shaking (crawling and such) before walking (unless she's anything like my oldest who *never* crawled).

If you'd like a closer view at the pages you can go here:

It's Hot in the Kitchen

scpaperie,cards,cooking,business,ctmh

I had a client who requested some cards for her Pampered Chef business. She sent me a few pictures of the line that is popular right now and this is what I came up with for her. She loved them - which always makes a girl feel good. :)

I love the little polka dotted bowl - it resembles their products so well (I think).
