Funky Cards

Here are two cards I made with this really cool paper. It is a thick paper (almost cardstock weight) and has a texture and shimmer to it. I added some metallic silver paper to complement the shimmer.

Both cards measure approximately 4 X 5.5"

Ink, stamps, and flowers from CTMH.
Pewter hardware from SU.

It's Hot in the Kitchen

scpaperie,cards,cooking,business,ctmh

I had a client who requested some cards for her Pampered Chef business. She sent me a few pictures of the line that is popular right now and this is what I came up with for her. She loved them - which always makes a girl feel good. :)

I love the little polka dotted bowl - it resembles their products so well (I think).

Color Blocked "Thanks" Card

scpaperie,cards,flower,etsy,ctmh

Another simple card - another simple card I love.

Photobucket

I believe that CTMH is retiring most of these colors (from the Summer Celebration collection) and replacing them with fresh, new colors. I understand the replacing and refreshing, but I'm still a little sad because I love these colors.

Photobucket

All of the patterned paper is edged with blank ink to make them pop. :)

Everything except the card base is CTMH.

Enjoy!

Hello - Color Blocking

Another perfect example of a non-complex card:

Photobucket

Also a great way to use up scraps that you may have stashed (in abundance if you're anything like me).

Photobucket

Adding the distressed edges brings more life and texture to the card - and, of course, a little bling never hurt. :)

Card base is SU! Remainder of the products used are CTMH. Card measures standard A2 size.

Monochromatic Thank You

Green is my favorite color. I just love it. It reminds me of fresh air, trees, and camping - all of which make me happy.

Photobucket

Cards don't always have to be complex to be pretty. This is a very simple card and I still love it.

Everthing other than the card base is CTMH. The card base is from SU! CS (it is the natural - with the flecks of particles - love it).

I ran the twill over the ink pad so that it would absorb a green hue and tie in nicely with the the paper blocks. :)

Card measures standard A2 (4.25 X 5.5")

Color Pop - Just Because

Photobucket

This is the first card I created when my lovely client requested her cards. She really inspired me to put a new spin on my original card.

I *love* the black and white with pops of lime green (citrus leaf - by CTMH). It just makes me happy.

The stamps, ink, and cardstock are CTMH. The patterened paper is from CM (I think).

Fancy Fold Color Pop Cards

scpaperie,cards,flower,color,black,white,ctmh,handmade,etsy

This is a set of six cards I created as a special request for a client. They're all basic black and white with pops of color - six different colors. I *love* this client! :)

scpaperie,cards,flower,color,black,white,ctmh,handmade,etsy

The design for this card came from a visit to Hallmark with a friend. I typically do not go into gift/card shops because I can make just about anything I want; however, I got a *ton* of inspiration from looking through their stash. Of course, I can make them better. ;)

scpaperie,cards,flower,color,black,white,ctmh,handmade,etsy

All of the cards measure approximately 4.25 X 5.5" (standard A2 size) when closed, so they fit into a regular card envelope.

scpaperie,cards,flower,color,black,white,ctmh,handmade,etsy

I love the way they look all lined up together - so striking! :)

scpaperie,cards,flower,color,black,white,ctmh,handmade,etsy

The cards are held shut by a photo corner. Once you turn it up or down, the little flap with the flower opens to the left and then the patterned paper panel opens to the right. Like this:

scpaperie,cards,flower,color,black,white,ctmh,handmade,etsy

The black and white patterned papers come from SU! and CM - the ink and stamps come from CTMH, as does the cardstock and embellies.

Enjoy!

Teacher Gift - Card Box

To close the end of the school year most parents get their child's teacher a gift. My daughter's kindergarten teacher absolutely loves to give cards...especially cute and hand-made ones. :) So this is what I created for her:

scpaperie,cards,ctmh,custom,thanks,copic

scpaperie,cards,ctmh,custom,thanks,copic

I left the tabs on the dividers empty as I'm not sure of how she'd like to arrange her cards. Also, I started her collection off with six or seven cards in the box. Here are a few of them:

scpaperie,cards,ctmh,custom,thanks,copic

scpaperie,cards,ctmh,custom,thanks,copic

scpaperie,cards,ctmh,custom,thanks,copic

All of the cards measure approximately 4.25" X 5.5". I found the instructions to this box from another blogger...one that is on my sidebar, for sure...but I cannot seem to locate it now to give credit. If you, by chance, know who put this pattern out there...please feel free to leave her name in the comments.

Papers for this project are from CTMH, Creative Memories, and SU!

Flower Pot Cards (pocket cards)

scpaperie,cards,flowers,stars,unique,pocket. ctmh

These are just the cutest cards I have seen in a long time. I love that they're differrent in so many ways...one being that they don't open like a traditional card. :)

scpaperie,cards,flowers,stars,unique,pocket. ctmh

I made three of these cutie things. :)

*This one is made with SU! paper (razzleberry lemonade, I do believe) and CTMH CS

The last is probably my favorite...because I am IN LOVE with this paper. It is from CTMH...and is called 'You Rock'.

I found these cards on the Project Tuesday web site.

FUN in the SUN - layout

scpaperie,pages,summer,sun,fun,layouts,scrapbooking

I just loved these pictures! This was an interesting day for my family. Syndel, my older daughter, and I are practically fish...so I was expecting Ceryse to love the water, too. Well, I was in for quite the surprise! She hated it...and I do mean HATE! LOL

scpaperie,pages,summer,sun,fun,layouts,scrapbooking

So, she spent the entire day sitting in on the side of the pool with my Mom...in her little sun hat. How adorable!?

scpaperie,pages,summer,sun,fun,layouts,scrapbooking

The title is hand-cut. I tried a new technique for this title...and I love it! I took a font from my computer (Aerosol) and typed "FUN" and "SUN"....then I pasted them into PowerPoint (as an image) and flipped them so that they'd print backwards.

scpaperie,pages,summer,sun,fun,layouts,scrapbooking

Once I printed them out (and they were backwards) I random stamped on the non-printed side. I cut around the letters...but rounded some edges more than they were, changed a few things here and there until I got exactly what I wanted...and this was the result. A new fun and funky title...that I adore!

scpaperie,pages,summer,sun,fun,layouts,scrapbooking

The patterned paper is from Stampin' Up!...the stamps, ink, and CS are from CTMH. Love it when they work together. :)

-Enjoy!
