Friendship Card

scpaperie,card

Alright, so I created this card in hopes of nailing two birds with one stone, but I have missed that boat. :( I used polka dot paper in order to participate in the Cute Card Thursday challenge last week...but since I missed that deadline, we'll just pretend that wasn't my goal, OK?

However, the sketch I used was from Mojo Monday, and I'm still good there! So, see my pretty Mojo Monday sketch in use??? Isn't it lovely?

Yes, that is the DCWV "Sorbet" paper stack again. It's no secret, I'm in love! I did add some cardstock and a few other goodies from CTMH, though. The inside reads: "Life is nothing without friendship"...and that is true.

Card measures 5" X 6.5".

Enjoy!

Valentine's Day Coupons

scpaperie,cards,valentine,box,gift

I have had this card box in my "gotta make" file for a LONG time! I actually had forgotten all about it until I went digging through my stash trying to find something unique and fun for the big "V" day.

The box, closed, looks just like a box of cards...OK, well, a little fancier than a regular box of cards. :) It measures about the same, too, if not exactly. It is 3.5" tall, 2.5" wide, and .75" thick.

I made 5 little "love coupons" to go inside that match. Is that not cute, really?

The coupons are "G" rated, just in case they end up going to kids or maybe even just a friend to cheer up. :) Three of the coupons are blank, though, so you *could* get a little naughty with them...if you so desire.

I had a blast creating this little gift set and look forward to creating all kinds of other versions of it.

The color scheme for this was inspired by Cute Card Thursday's challenge for 1/14...I know, I'm late again. It was to create something using a pink and grey color scheme. I never pair those colors together, so this was a good "out of my ordinary box" project for me.

Enjoy!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge #94

scpaperie,butterfly,cards

This week's (which was actually last Thursday, I'm late posting) CCT challenge was "anything new", could be new baby, house, new paper, new stamps...anything NEW! How fun?!

scpaperie,butterfly,cards

Almost everything on this card is new. The image and sentiment are from The Angel Company (a new-to-me set called "Seeds of Blessing"). The paper is new, from Me & My Big Ideas. AND - the image is colored using the "chalk popping" technique, which is also new to me! I've never done this technique before...but I'm looking forward to doing it again! :)

This card measures 6" X 6".

Enjoy!

Cute Card Thursday Challenge #93

scpaperie,card,cct,challenge

I just stumbled upon this blog and decided that I was going to try this out. :) I wanted to use some new things I picked up over the last couple weeks.

#1) That cute girl from The Greeting Farm
#2) Fun Flock I picked up at Michael's for 50% off (yeah me!)

I used both.....how I wish I had some Copic markers, though. Can't wait until I can get my hands on some of them! I'm using watercolor markers from CTMH as of now...and they're OK, but they're not Copic.

I'll have to work on that Fun Flock some more (I put it on the flower/bow in her hair)....I'm sure with practice, I'll get better at that stuff. My daughter was really impressed with the 'fuzzy stuff', though. :)

Enjoy!
